Hi! It’s me, Jimmy! I am a programmer, writer, and opinionator.

Currently, I make my living programming. As I get older, I want to make more of my living writing. When I ultimately retire, I won’t need to make a living, and I can just be a cantankerous old man with strong opinions—true self-actualization.

With all of these hates, I have an intellectual mission to be the best scholar and communicator I can be.

At one point I wrote a Programmer Bio of myself. I also have a Programming Portfolio of code I’ve both written and published, which is honestly not that much and not that interesting as most of the code I’ve written has been for some or another Job or proprietary to Me.

Personal Attributes

I am academically gifted, an attribute that has way less relevance outside of formal education, but not zero. I don’t know how much of that is genetic and how much of that is environmental, but through some combination I seem to have inherited it.

Speaking of things that run in families, I also have ADHD, which has probably helped my book-smarts but definitely kept me from being as accomplished as I could be. I value, and am good at, critical thinking and personal growth. I truly value constructive feedback, especially from a trusted source, though I often take it “seriously but not literally” and try to use it as a source of insights and a starting point rather than an authority.

I do have Hobbies and Interests, if that’s helpful! And… I stick out my tongue when I think, and I put my tongue in my cheek when I tease. (Am I cartoon character? Time will tell!)
