I enjoy writing and blogging. That’s why I’m here, on this blog. Welcome! Writing is my most “productive”1 hobby. Sometimes I even write fiction—though that’s sort of on hiatus for the moment.

I also enjoy friendship—to the point where it kind of is a hobby. I have interpersonal relationships where I discuss in great detail the nature of interpersonal relationships, just like ham radio operators get on the radio to talk about their radios.

Intellectually, I am a history buff and a linguistics nerd. I almost majored in linguistics in college. I have no socially legible excuse for my interest in history, besides being a man and therefore being contractually obligated to think continuously about Rome. My favorite language families are Germanic and Romance (subfamilies of Indo-European), and Semitic (subfamily of Afro-Asiatic).

I specifically enjoy the history of religion and religious texts, especially the Hebrew Bible. I think it’s a bopping read, which is one of many things that makes me an eccentric.

I also enjoy economics, and other nerdery. For more, please refer to my blog, which you’re already on!

I like exercising and should do it more, both weight training at the gym, and cycling through cities.

I enjoy keeping an overly meticulous TODO list, writing everthing I need to do on the list, making sure I maintain the list well, making sure I plan each day, failing to do many of the things I planned—especially errands and chores (they’re the worst)— and on many days: writing down the few things I did succeed at doing.

I would love to get properly back into music, getting less rusty on piano, seeing if I might get less rusty at singing, considering getting less rusty on trombone, and annoying my friends playing recorder, which due to its compact form factor might be the instrument on which I am the least rusty.
